For this project, we were asked to design a short, futuristic video on the theme “What if tomorrow arrives today? in a group of 7 designers from various fields.” The part of the brief was to understand future social issues and propose creative solutions to them. We had to consider the rapid pace of technological advancement and how it shapes our lives. The video was supposed to be under three minutes, innovative, and visually compelling, showcasing our unique perspective on the concept. Focusing on innovation, attention to detail, and documenting our design process. Each of us was in charge of a different part of the project from creating a brand identity, creation of the product itself, video production and directing.
CONCEPT
Our concept for the product was to enter a world where sharing ideas is as easy as breathing, where innovation never stops, and where creativity is key. Mind Drop is supposed to do the impossible. This groundbreaking tool lets people connect with each other’s thoughts, making global collaboration a breeze. It’s a step towards a future where teamwork and imagination rule. It is a tool created to break down barriers and let people understand each other better, no matter what language they speak.
Problem:
Struggling to explain and show your creative vision and thoughts exactly as they are in your mind.
Solution:
Telepathically transmitting messages and ideas through MindDrop without the need to explain them by speaking, texting, writing, or drawing.

VIDEO PRODUCTION
For this project, the aim was to showcase the struggles of three different individuals - a graphic designer, a fashion designer, and a musician - in communicating and visualising their creativity and ideas. These struggles are universal among creative professionals, emphasising the relatability of the narrative. The solution presented in the video, MindDrop, offers a revolutionary way for people to effortlessly share their thoughts and ideas in real time. By highlighting the challenges faced by the characters and illustrating how MindDrop addresses these issues, the video effectively communicates the value and impact of the product.
Taking inspiration from Apple’s advertising approach, the focus was on the people themselves, and their emotions. Apple adverts are known for their ability to evoke powerful feelings and tell compelling stories, often without dialogue. By adopting a similar style, the video aimed to resonate with viewers on a personal level, drawing them into the narrative and emphasizing the transformative power of MindDrop. We decided to make our video short and impactful, just like Apple’s adverts. We chose strong and powerful music as well. Behind the scenes, meticulous planning and organisation were key to the success of the filming process. Our whole group was involved in the shooting process, from actors to directors, the team worked seamlessly to bring the vision to life. This collaborative effort ensured that every aspect of the production, from cinematography to performance, was executed with precision.
